What Is the Diesel Consumption for Diesel Fired Boiler?
The fuel consumption of diesel-fired steam boilers is one of the concerns of many customers of oil-fired boilers. As a clean energy boiler, light diesel is the most widely used oil fuel for oil-fired steam boilers. Although the current emerging methanol fuel is also environmentally friendly, diesel-based applications have accumulated more, so more customers are optimistic about diesel. In addition, the price of light diesel is indeed cheaper than methanol fuel. . So how much diesel does a diesel steam boiler consume per ton of steam?
In a broad sense, fuel oil with lower density is called diesel oil, also called light diesel oil. The characteristics of diesel oil are: (1) low viscosity and good fluidity. Therefore, during transportation and atomization, heating is generally not required. When diesel is used as the boiler fuel, the boiler can be started by direct ignition. (2) The sulfur content is small, and the pollution to the environment is also small. (3) Diesel oil is more volatile than heavy oil and residual oil, and the risk of fire is greater. Pay particular attention to this when setting up an oil depot.
The fuel consumption of a boiler is determined by several factors: (1) the thermal efficiency of the boiler; (2) the thermal efficiency of the burner; (3) the heating area of the boiler; (4) the calorific value of the fuel; 5. the combustion method of the burner, etc.
The formula for calculating the oil consumption of diesel-fired steam boilers: the fuel consumption of oil-fired steam boilers per hour = 3600 * thermal power / diesel heating value / boiler efficiency. If it is burning diesel, the fuel consumption per hour is about 132kg. I can tell you that a 1 ton diesel steam boiler produces 1 ton of steam per hour, so the fuel consumption of a 1 ton diesel boiler is about 70 liters. However, the calculation of how much fuel a 2-ton diesel steam boiler consumes per hour is not simply a 140 liter calculation, but rather it is determined based on the boiler’s specific use and design thermal efficiency. In general, the higher the design thermal efficiency, the smaller the boiler oil consumption.
